Before the march, the same day, I attended a fundraiser done by the Sisters at the Café, it was a very joyful event for which the sisters provided the organisation, raised some money and had fun, all at the same time. Then afterward, during the march, the Sisters provided emotional support to other marchers and gave explanations to passers-by. At the end of the march, the Sisters themselves dealt with their own sorrows and pains. These two events showed me the two opposite ends of the spectrum of the Sisters activities, to have fun but also a deep and genuine care for the community and I wanted to be part of it.
