Who are the Sisters?

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence® is a leading-edge Order of queer nuns. Since our first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have devoted ourselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment. We believe all people have a right to express their unique joy and beauty and we use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry, complacency and guilt that chain the human spirit.

We can't wait to party with the Eagle In Exile family again, we always have such a great time together. This month benefits us, the Sisters, and will go to support the reprinting of Play Fair Safer Sex guide and exhibit of "30 Years of Playing Safe" at the GLBT History Museum. Play Fair was the first safe sex guide published in non-clinical language meant to focus on the queer community. We are updating it for current times and in accordance with current guidelines. The exhibit will be for the release of the new guide and a look back at the original and various versions of it over the last 30 years. So come on out and buy the beer bust, $10 for all the Rolling Rock you can guzzle, and proceeds benefit this great cause! Plus live in concert is The Gypsy Moonlight band, and, as always, our resident Eagle In Exile DJs Don Baird and TastyCakes spin the best tunes.
