Why did you join the Order?
I found out about the Sisters about 20 years ago when I was still in Brazil. But I thought they were just a theater/performance group! I got madly in love with them and there are even pictures of me clubbing in Sister drag from that time!

When I moved to the US, as a gay Latino immigrant facing white-privilege America in person for the first time, I wanted to do something for my Community, to empower people, to fight against bigotry and injustice, to destroy patriarchism and have fun while doing it. When I found out more about the Sisters and their mission and vows, I thought to myself - yep, that's how I want to spend my life! 

Do you have a specific ministry?
I use my face as a canvas and make-up as the tool to become my own piece of art. I want to empower people through art and fabulousness, inspiring them to become their own masterpiece.
You see the beauty in others because you have a divine beauty inside of you. When you share this beauty with the world, you celebrate your uniqueness, and you don't allow others to sculpt you into something you're not.
You are the artist and muse of your own life.
